Purifiers & Filters
Introduction

The difference between water filters and purifiers is that for a system to be considered a purifier, it must remove bacteria. If it is not capable of removing bacteria, it is not a purifier but a filter.

There are degrees of filtration and purification. The smaller the pore size of the filter cartridge - the smaller the size of impurities to be removed. All filters store the impurities and therefore should be changed regularly. Some purifiers store the impurities, other destroy or neutralise the impurities and some others discharge them from the unit via a separate outlet into the rain or as waste.
