WaterMaker Mini - Instructions

1.
Remove the aerator from the kitchen tap and replace it with WaterMaker's quick connect aerator provided.

2.
Hold down the white locking ring on the WaterMaker and place it onto the new aerator. Release the white locking ring. A slight tug on the unit will confirm the connection.

3.
Slowly turn on the cold water and place the clean water tubing into a container of your choice. Keep container in sink to drain any overflow.

4.
To disconnect, turn off water, wait 30 seconds, then depress white locking ring and remove unit from aerator.

5.
To preserve the freshness of the membrane filter, store the unit in your refrigerator when not in use.

8 Gallons Per Day

WaterMaker will produce up to eight gallons of sparkling fresh, reverse osmosis water in 24 hours.

Most people connect the WaterMaker at night and in the morning they have enough fresh water for the entire day.

Membrane Minimum Life Expectancy

The minimum life of the membrane is normally at least 1 year - sometimes longer.

This compares very favourably with only a 3-month life for other types of water filter.

Overview

The WaterMaker Mini produces high quality, reverse osmosis water simply and easily.

No heavy bottles to lift, no trips to the shops, no permanent plumbing connections required. Just connect it to your tap and begin making sparkling fresh drinking water right away.

With the WaterMaker Mini, your drinking water will taste better and smell fresher.

Reverse Osmosis Process

SUBSTANCE REMOVAL
The Watermaker Mini is the only reverse osmosis system available that attaches directly to the kitchen tap.

The reverse osmosis membrane in the WaterMaker Mini removes up to 97% of dissolved solids, and 99.99% of the microbiological contaminants Giardia and Cryptosporidium, and 99% of lead.

Unlike simple carbon filter units, these impurities are continually flushed out of the membrane system.

Background

A brief background
to the technology behind the

portable equipment
for correction of drinking water quality

Whilst filtration will remove suspended solids and many pollutants, toxins like aluminum, lead, cadmium etc., if present, will be in solution (i.e. dissolved), as well as in suspension (solids). Filtration is not enough to remove these dissolved pollutants - total purification is the only answer.

Reverse Osmosis is an adaptation of nature’s biological process. In the reverse osmosis process water is forced through a semi-permeable membrane that separates out the impurities and rejects them to the household drainage system. The R.O. membrane deals equally with bacteriological, chemical, organic and non-organic contamination. It will remove up to 98% of all pollutants.

In humans, fluids pass in and out of such membranes (cell tissues) by the phenomenon known as osmosis, while plants absorb food and moisture from soil in the same way. Reverse osmosis is simply this natural process turned around.
